Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1 TB SATA 32 MB Cache Bulk/OEM Hard Drive ST31000333AS [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging] Review

Brand : Seagate
I do not know what the negative reviews for the ... Small print indicates that they are on the ST31000333AS not, but another drive. I bought my ST31000333AS over a year ago, she into a Vantec external case with FireWire connection. Blazing speed, never a problem. Note that you can buy the drive alone if you get no tracks, steering, something other than the drive. If you go a set with all the cables etc, then for that and pay more. I was with the Western Digital for year, finally gave in to theNth one died. Has been with the Seagate Barracuda line, exclusively for several years, 300GB, 400GB, 1TB. No complaints. They run so quietly you do not know that they are there. Highly recommended.

So far, so good - SMR - SLC, UT
I have a WD fan, as long as I been with computers. During my 4 years old WD4000AAKS bit the dust after a reboot the other day, I decided it was time for an upgrade to a larger drive. This was the least expensive drive with more than 1 TB and I went with him. I use it to backup my other disks, so I can not say much about the speed. If it continues to last, Seagate may be awarded a convert out of it.
So far, so good - all you can say about a hard drive - Michael Rothenberg - Watertown, MA United States
I hesitated to buy this drive through all the chatter over the last few years, a firmware problem. In the end I have bought three of them 6 months ago, she was using a startech docking station, and have had no problems at all. I also recommend the WiebeTech static-free case, if you go forth to switch to these drives a lot.
Drives eventually fail, then the lifetime is limited by nature. But these have worked flawlessly out of the box since I got it.
Really nice and fast - G. O'Connor - Washington Grove, MD United States
I coupled this with an external SATA Dual Dock and love it. It has been online for a month and no problems what-so-ever. I plan to use the exact same unit as a protective return for the purchase, which I've reviewed. I have hundreds of back and four UK shows, non-commercial HD video editing and has been moved really like this car just everything that I throw it devours impressed.
